LAST PARADISE:without soul

from 10/1/2009 to 28/1/2009

LAST PARADISE:seeks the lost heaven After the mythical fall in flight of "Dedalo and Icaro", of the Belgian artist Maggy Jacot (Bruxelles,1958) enters the "secret things " of Paolo Consorti (San Benedetto del Tronto, 1964), that it present with the video "Inside the secret things ", inspired to the third song of the hell’s Dante in the Divine Comedy, in which men and naked women of different age race in the infernal meander to the search of themselves, in an atmosphere artificial position of theatrical plasticism. On the same directive but with a painting post modern expressionist, Efrath Bouana (Israel,1986 lives and works in Paris), brings in scene the human being’s desperation and the loneliness caused by the loss of the himself, in the bloody battle to the search of itself, while Nathan Brusovani (Leningrado, 1956, lives and works in Israel) in photo brings "last Paradise" in the attempt to take back the last instants of the heaven, pawn, the loss of the innocence. Debra Marie Drexler (Missouri, Usa,1958) has lived for some years to Tahiti in the Hawais, studying the context where the Father of the modern art, Gauguin has lived, examining the influence of the colonialism, that has changed the cultural identity of the Polinesia’s country. Debra in her works, of the series "The zombie of Gauguin", preparing a great pictorical installation composed by nine pieces of which three here in show and doing part of the series "Gauguin`s Zombie Miniatures Museum" in which the border loses among visual art, philmography and novel but also among the artist, the museum and the culture of the post-modern art. Letizia Marabottini (Aquapendente, Vt,1974,lives and works in Rome), works on the urban landscape, bring a mix, like as almost xilographic matrixes the photos and painting, intervening with furrows and heterogeneous materials on the urban images, on the perspectives of buildings, places of our way of living but also of the chaos. Also Maria Antonietta Scaringella (Campi Salentina, Lecce) plays on the landscape and her transfiguration. Transversal cuts they propose to the look perspectives of escape and urban angles, buildings painted totemaitic among reality and lyricism, that emit a sense of melancholy, of attended, of tension. These works belong to its first search (70’s) but they are always actual, and they constitute for the artist a real simbology constantly to decipher. In the photographic series "The Santora Session" of Dirk Petchull (California 1959), there is the representation of the grace and the calm agony, a woman`s emotions, her life and the search of herself.THE SOUL PURSUES THE BODY.. Is known the arts it is a way to express the universal phenomena of the life, of the death, of the spirituality, of the love. But it is not very often enough and sometimes not even the words, especially in this era of guerrillas and of human sacrifices. Cornel Barsan (Transilvania,1965, lives and works in Paris) uses the language of the writing as expression and symbol of a metaphysical state that it precedes the verb the word. He creates a mix among sentences, alphabets, alchemies of color that allow him to reflect on personal and collective experiences. In the work "Woman "he represents with 12 words the concept of woman today. In the works of Daniel Balanescu (Romania1967) the artist tries the experiment of simulation of the portrait meeting place to stains in key of expressionist (from here the tradition of Pollock) but also that dadaistic theory of Duchamp, tied up to the ready made. The identity of the proposed model results sacrificed and ready to expel the feelings of the soul: desperation, dream and ecstasy. On the wake of the "dream" and of his "transfiguration" the sculptural works of Giorgio Carluccio (Tuturano, Br 1948), that play on oniric elements, composed by heterogeneous materials of great visual impact. Also here, the soul is imprisoned of the subject that winds it and of its plastic stillness but from which a verticality that overcomes the confinements of the same subject and it enters a sublime dimension emerges her of crossino. Desecrating Felipe Garcia (Chicago, Illinois), that with the photographic diptych "Pray two" it puts in duality two hands, on the left the rosary and on the right a condom. Two worlds separated by the Christianity`s rules, religion and elegant sex to himself. Symbolically a key exists for entering in the meander of the soul, and it is very often the music that helps the artist Irma Hinghofer-Szalkay (Graz, Austria) to enter communion with the other of itself. She plays on thematic that unite philosophy, harmony, myth, to also individualize aspects of the feelings, of the dreams, of the visions. The music as the dance they transport our senses in a dessert forgetfulness and our body it abandons in a spiritual and meditative dimension, in the works of Noella Roos (Holland 1969). Between nature and industry, between soul and object, the graphic’s works of Amanda Sears (Chicago, The) emerges, like as texture that remembers the ancient use of the lace and the various geometric forms that add a touch of fluidity, whim, sensuality. Her background in the field of the fashion and the theater has been important to delineate its artistic style. Rachel Silski (Bruxellel1962) has worked for years as psicoanalist and therapist with patient psychiatric. Her work assembles on problems of the human relationships and on the memory, while the young Mercedes Vandendorpe (born in Canada, lives and works in Spain) is interested to the dynamics of the unconscious in the psychoanalysis of of Jung. Archetypes, shades and Ego are mild and beliefs of various cultures, important simbologies in the life.
