HIC ET NUNC: IL TEMPO DELL`ARTE

Once upon a time the memory was custodian of the symbolic and mythical community, made use of true stories and fantastic performances, interwoven with the history of poetry, the reality with the art, the artistic imagination with the collective unconscious, the universal with the singular. Fallen dogmas and Great Narratives, now no longer functions as the memory manufacturer of mythologies, but lives in the search for truth becomes a device of knowledge, historical production, verification of information. Memory as an absolute truth has given way to many memories of civilization information, micro universal truth without authority but act on the knowledge and the production of history.
The Latin word “Hic et Hunc” literally translated, means “here and now”. This expression is often used to indicate that something does not permit extensions in its implementation. This term is also used as a concise expression of existentialist philosophy as a member, for which man is seen in the fragility of his condition over. It is manifested in the individuality of man this "Here and Now", at a time (nunc) and space (hic) that are not infinite (see idealism) and constitute the very cause of human misery and at the same time, the place of the implementation of human happiness (see Christian theology).
"Here and Now" is the time of art and the ability to act, is the sense of real, unconditional and immediate tangible. In artistic terms, the artist has the duty and the opportunity to design something that is already useful and usable immediately, something that is free then to create a path. The artist must have the knowledge to design a work for the present, for "today", then it will be important for future projects.
The artist must find the ability to be a forerunner, a visionary in the right extent, innovator. The figure of the artist is configured now even more clear and sharp as that of an intellectual, whose existential condition is "immersed" in the real and social, in tune with the culture and science, in communication with the diversity, with the subjective and collective will that push for change.
