ORIENTATION LAB
The didactic approach is centered on development and production , a program of visits and testimonies: on different cultural policies and on contamination of the language in the artistic cultural field, on confrontation and exchanges of experience and points of view, theoretical contributions and on operational instruments mutated by the different techniques, on attention given to interaction between diverse forms of artistic production and the cultural industries. Here the students work in an atmosphere very different than the academic, in that we are open to sharing and experimentation. For each matrix created, a limited printing can be done. The final result is presented as an exhibition, an event open to discussion, a publication or other appropriate for the specific group. The teacher gives each participant an independent evaluation and a certificate of completion.

Tours
Self-guided school group tours are always welcome at Primo Piano LivinGallery. Hundreds of high school and university students view our exhibitions annually. Guided tours are available by appointment. To book an appointment send an email, specifying the date, time and number of people

Video Library -
The video library contains a collection of more than 1000 audiovisual (video art, video clips, video animations, short films, video performances, video installations) of national and international artists who have exhibited or have worked in collaboration with the gallery.

Courses/Workshop
The format of the workshops or seminars are intensive and its open all year round (except August), available for individuals or groups of people.

Orientation Seminar in Contemporary Visual Arts
This visual art orientation seminar is directed to students and aspiring curators of art exhibits. It is held in the rooms of the Primo Piano LivinGallery and is based on visual learning through a selections of works on show (painting, photography, sculpture, installations, video art) and theory on how to organize an art exhibition. The seminar discusses the problems and technical aspects related to the art world and the role of the gallery, the figure of the curator, the competence of the critique and rapport with the press. The student can learn how to choose artists, produce a theme exhibition, historical exhibition, a collective or one man show, choose and work in an exhibit organization (occasional , official, private, public, virtual) the technical operations (transport, insurance, mounting, dismantling) borrowing art works, financing exhibitions, sponsoring, the budget, communications and public relations, the catalogue, etc.

Graphic Techniques Workshop
Educational programs of the Primo Piano Atelier are addressed to all (artists, students, schools, professionals), regardless of age. During the two-week workshop the students will gain skills in working as artists outside of the academical environment, and outside of their natural environment. The program is based on intense field work, group discussions, lectures and independent project work conducted by professor Dores Sacquegna. The studio is the printmaking. Intensive courses starting with a minimum of 6 days to a maximum of 12 working days of full-time production and development.

Artist's Recidency
Primo Piano's residency offers an alternative instruction program for independent artists, allowing them to work in a community of peers who share a unique and historically rich environment: Lecce. The interesting aspect of the course is to combine a tour of the city with a workshop in technical graphics, thus offering the participants the opportunity to meet new cultures and to experiment new techniques. Our center is a meeting point between local, national and international professionals , invited to exchange expertise and to begin a collaboration. The objective is to construct a bridge between the different local techniques and to encourage research and experiment in relation to new technical instruments in the residencies . These residencies allow the young apprentices to acquire new expertise, completing their instruction, optimizing their entrance into an active participation in the field through dialogue with affirmed professionals. Furthermore the atelier offers special agreements for discounts in restaurants and transportation.
