Biography

Donato Bruno Leo was born  in 1957 in Oria (Br). Start the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, ending in Naples. Soon he is in Rome to pursue the dream of cinema. The film experience so much that it will mark his return in Brindisi where begin a new route on the Kenosis.

In the foreground LivinGallery knows the work of Nitsch and receives a violent interpretation, such as to lead directly to the reworking of “Kenosis” with its visionary follies.

The readings of Whitman, Ginsberg, Bukowski, Plath, Auden, Eliot are important for him.In 2009 meet Leonardo Fumarola and start a new reserach on performance on Africa’s Project.

Tutto ciò ha in sé sempre la kenosi ossia quell’atto di “svuotamento e rigenerazione” .

 

His last works are made with few colors, preferring the black and white and their nuances. The purity of white, black enter the extension of symbiosis for a new project, the image here is the alchemy of the rational with the irrational, the absurd irony of the sacred with the profane.
