Biografia<\/p>\n
Silvia De Gennaro was born in Siena in 1961, lives and works in Rome. She’s an interdisciplinary artist, who with her works investigates the field of spirituality and human condition.<\/p>\n
Her artistic activity began with paintiing, creating a series of pictures named \u201cintrigues\u201d.<\/p>\n
Her works can be found in private collections and at The National Museum of Modern Arts of Alexandria (Egypt). Some of these paintings have been employed as stage design for Cristina Comencini’s films called \u201cweddings\u201d.<\/p>\n
In 1999, she founded with Alessio Scarale architect in Rome the Assaus Studios, joining their personal visions and skills they wage a joint research on expression and form within a wide range of interests: painting, architecture, design, light installations, screening and projections attending ad contributing to several expositions and art contests.<\/p>\n
Her present interests and research focus mainly on digital art, multimedia videos and graphic animation. with her videos she takes part in national and international reviews (new zealand, china, greece, holland, spain, austria), and in 2008 she was ‘finalist’ at \u201cNastri d’Argento Prize, 2008\u201d \u2013 one of the most important italian shorts films award.<\/p>\n
Her videos: \u201creality\u201d (2007), \u201clook up!\u201d (2008) and \u201cCercando l’illuminazione\u201d (2009) are in the permanent collection of the \u201cCasoria Contemporary Art Museum\u201d (italy).<\/p>\n
With her fifteen digital works named \u201carcane self-portraits\u201d a series of self-timer elaborated with the computer and inspired by the major arcane of the tarots.<\/p>\n
She was invited taking part in the exhibit \u201cvenere vincitrice\u201d at the Carlo V Castle in Lecce.<\/p>\n
On\u00a0 august 2008 she was invited at’\u201d the Olympic Fine Arts\u201d in Beijing – China, and she was awared with a gold medal.<\/p>\n
