Bretti and Enotri’s Museum, Cosenza.
This is one of the most prestigious events, now in its second edition, within the project “Art in progress. Cantieri del Contemporaneo” sponsored by the Province of Cosenza, in partnership with the Superintendence for the Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage of Calabria and the town of Marano Principato, in collaboration with the Conservatory ” S. Giacomantonio “of Cosenza, the Sila National Park and the Agency of transnational mobility Euroorm RFS.
The exhibition follows the ambitious aim of investigating and prosecuting art in all its shapes, in common life, in known spaces and in episodes of everyday life.It takes a cue from the second avant-garde art, and tries to engage several semiotic codes as gestural art and language. The exhibition aims to create a virtual bridge between the America of the 40s and the contemporary space in Cosenza, between passed and our-days art, closely connected to life. The American avant-garde takes its origins from the ideology of everyday life, from which comes the common language of many artists who are inspired by this fertile ground, and use it to create their collective imagination. It ‘s from real life that comes the most intense and immediate art.
Thanks to the interaction with the audience and its full-opening clasp towards other artistic representations, its constant dialogue between works and spaces around the artists, this show can be considered unique.
