Arakne, is the mythological figure narrated by Ovid in the book “Metamorphoses” and transformed into a spider by Athena, forced to spin and weave for life from the mouth. Besides the presence mythological, a particular form of permanency of the myth of Arachne can be found in  Apulian tarantismo phenomenon, a ritual-choral music in charge of healing from the effects of the bite of a spider mythical, the tarantula.
