The Merchant of Dreams Show festival visionary art
From 09/04/2011 to 18/05/2011
The Merchant of Dreams Show is an event of TOTAL ART combining contemporary art, cinema, poetry and fiction and opens a window on the collective imaginary, on the paradoxes of everyday life. Artists-Dreamers, cameos, mutants and superstar, engaged with the mode of casting list, where each character has a specific role, which becomes dialogue between the parties, in a format that transcends the representation and enters life. A living story of unusual and visionary art, in which it is difficult to draw the line between those who ask and those who offer. A tableau vivant, inspired to Shakespeare, which reveals the personality of the poet-filmmaker, tightrope walker and nostalgic, who dreams his protagonists making them Star for a night. In chameleon director, signed by Dores Sacquegna, the scenic representation becomes writing, body and moving picture of the present time, thus creating a chain of correspondences between the dreamers and the public, between the pen and its reader.

Under the Patronage of the Municipality of Lecce for Itinerary Rosa. Arakne, is the mythological figure narrated by Ovid in the book “Metamorphoses” and transformed into a spider by Athena, forced to spin and weave for life from the mouth. Besides the presence mythological, a particular form of permanency of the myth of Arachne can be found in Apulian tarantismo phenomenon, a ritual-choral music in charge of healing from the effects of the bite of a spider mythical, the tarantula.
