The color is the reflected light of a body, and is different according to the wave length of electromagnetic radiation. In psychology each color expresses a mood and affect our lives more than we realize. Color is the sensation received by the eye and communicated to the brain. While the chemistry studies the pigmentation and the composition of the color, the physics studies the brightness and the light, the perception gives the visual sensation and is composed of many elements neurophysiological. Psychology instead studied the personal feeling, the pleasure that gives the color and that is different in each of us. So, these four dimensions are projected in all of us, allowing a continuous improvement of the mechanisms of perception and the conceptual, about symbolic, primitive and ancestral value of color that is a common heritage. That is, it helps to understand each other, to communicate, to heal, because the colors accompany us throughout life. Man’s life has always been governed by the rhythm of day and night, from the darkness and the light.
In fact, the light warms us, while the dark tends to slow down our tone and the circulatory flow. Obtained by the combination of red and yellow and blue, the brown color is a symbol of satisfaction at the physical level. The brown expresses emotion and sensuality, but also, balance, good health and need to sensual satisfactions. It is the color of the earth, the trunks of trees, security, love for one’s origins, prudence, patience and tenacity.
