The exhibition of contemporary art “ART & NATURE“, it is an artistic-cultural exhibition about landscape ecology, architecture and technology. The exhibition and debate are dedicated to important themes of nature, the redevelopment of the landscape and the environment, the deep and mysterious relationship to the human soul and shamanism, the use of flowers and plants to rebalance the energy field.
The meeting opens with assistance from the Architects: NICOLA ELIA (Lecce), former Manager of the Programming of territorial strategies of the Municipality of Lecce and Director of MUST Museum in Lecce, with the issue about: The Gardens of Lecce: Landscapes of the Baroque natural, and ALESSIO SCARALE (he lives and works between San Severo and Rome), with the project “Urban Park in San Severo.”
The debate continues with Italian writer and researcher ANDREA FELIZIANI (Belluno), author of the book about Crop Circles “Persi nella memoria/Lost in Memory”, Mondadori Publishing. Following this presentation of the naturopath ROSANNA TORALDO (Lecce) about the issue on “The Use of flowers and plants spontaneous from Salento’s Pennisula, for rebalancing the human energy field.”
During the exhibition, the site specific eco-installation by the sculptor SALVATORE SAVA (Lecce). The exhibition looks at the universal memory traces that are lost in the deeper origins of the psyche. The essence of the archetypes is linked to the “feel”, ecology, nature, shamanism, the first spiritual discipline and the first medical practice in the world, already present in matriarchal societies where they worshiped the cult of the Mother Goddess. In the exhibition the video called “Remolino” by GRIMANESA AMOROS (USA), inspired by the Jamaica neighborhood in Queens, the most ethnically diverse county in the United States. The name itself is derived from the Jameco tribe.
Following installations with eco materials by STOLTE ULRIKE (Germany) and KATARINA NORLING (Sweden), the paintings, photos, videos devoted to landscape and nature by ERAN BARNEA (USA), LOREDANA CAMPA (Lecce), GERARD FRANCES (France), MOTOKO HUYSVELD (France), THOMAS KABELITZ (Germany), PATRICIA WHITTINGHAM (Canada), IVAN RIVERA (USA), NEL TEN WOLDE (Australia), KATELYNE OSTYN (France) and WILLIAM VECCHIETTI (Ancona).
The exhibition aims to give a new response and a wider form of consciousness that can lead to the recovery of our integrity, to connect with the energy that flows in the universe, bring it to us and turn it into love and personal power. Art is a tool for transformation, both personal and planetary. We can use art to express our reality, promote and reflect social change, preserve nature and promote knowledge.
